I made a small box full of good wishes for the new year. All my friends and family may take one wish with the tweezer. Happy New Year!

Diaries

Since my 9th birthday I write every experience in a diary. Sometimes I skip a while. But now, after seven years, I've written six diaries. I really like to write, so I start the New Year with a new diary!

My father is creative too

I've told you about celebrating Sinterklaas. With making surprises to each other. This year my father took me. He made The Tree of Wisdom. In the tree hang hundred little profundities. Every day I may take a little paper. I realy like the tree and he has a beautiful place in my bedroom. I didn't know that my father was so creative!

Celebrating St.Nicolas

Five december is for most of the children in Holland the best day of the year. Then St. Nicolas is in town. Also known as a "Sinterklaas". He comes each year with the Steamboat from Spain. This children's party is a very old tradition in The Netherlands. The traditions are, singing Sinterklaas-songs; put your shoes by the fireplace to receive gifts; wearing Sinterklaas-clothing; delicacies, like marzipan and cookies of gingerbread; entry of Sinterklaas; parcels-evening. Parcels-evening was today. At home nobody believes anymore in Sinterklaas, but we still celebrate it. We give surprises to each other with a poem. We write the names from the whole family on little papers and everybody have to take a paper. For those who you've taken you should buy a gift, make a surprise and write a poem. This year I took Jochem that is my little brother. The poem and the gift were easy. Only the surprise was difficult to make. But I had figured out something. He plays very often the computer game "Minecraft", everything is square and you can build your own things, private and online. On Google I had found enough information to form a picture of the game, I started. I used cardboard and cut this in pieces, to display this in 3D. When everything was cutted and paste, I gave it a finishing touch by painting. I put my creation it on the gift, and I was finished. Happy "Sinterklaas" everybody!

Bracelet Action

School was participate a charity that helps poor children in Peru. For this charity, all classes could invent an action to collect money. My class had devised a "Water Balloon Action", everybody could  throw water balloons at people for 1 euro. We earned a lot of money, but not enough for me. I made my own action, a "Bracelet Action", I sold bracelets for 1 euro. It was a great success, I finally got 35 euros! I am proud of the result and I hope that the children in Peru are happy :)

Cartoon of me

Just a paper windmill

While I was babysitting, I made creative paper things with the kids. This was mine...

I Just Can't Get Enough

I often make little notes with sketches, funny things and beautiful words. Now I had so much from those notes, I devised a thing what they hold together. It was very simple.

- I found a ring and front. 

- I made holes in every note.
- I bound them together.
And I was finished!

There will come lot more notes because "I just can't get enough".

Postcard holder

Though it is nowadays seen as old-fashioned, I still get nice postcards. Sometimes they are very beautiful, and I'll have them in my room all the year. Only I wondered, how? I devised these simple cardholder. It's a stone with a iron wire wrapped around it what hold the cards. I like him, and especially because I can enjoy my beautiful cards much longer!

Another winter, another scarf

A friend of mine had seen the scarf that I made last year. She told me that he was very nice so that pushed me to make also one for her. She chose the color burgundy red and I started. I worked everywhere.
When babysitting, school, home, in the car, anywhere! I found it a very nice job. I began to miss it when the scarf was finished. This is the result! I gave it today to her. She was very happy, and so was I.

Pretty by Night

At school I got a draw-exercise. The teacher told a story about eight special creatures. I had to choose one and I chose the "Nachtschone" (pretty by night). It was described as spectacular, a night creature, fluorescent, it has anthers and lives by the fairies and the pond. What I've drawn is the sketch but I need to elaborate on a A3 paper.

Leaves all around

The summer is over and the leaves are falling down.
I found this leaf, and decided to painting him.

Peacock of Cardboard

I really love recycling things. Even cardboard. I didn't know what to do so for some inspiration I went to look in an animalbook for kids. I saw a picture of a peacock, a very beautiful animal. I found beautiful colored cardboard and I started. The result was a recycled peacock of cardboard!

Homemade Nail Polish Tutorial

What you'll need...

- A nice colour eyeshadow

- Blank colored nail polish

- A rolled paper

- Tooth stick

Step 1. Start by gently loose your eyeshadow with your tooth stick.

 

Step 2. Put the rolled paper in the nail polish bottle

 Step 3. Now you can put the eyeshadow in the rolled paper

Step 4. Now roll the bottle between your hands (never shake it, because the nail polish will dry), and you're finished!

You can try it with many colors and create your own variation :)

Painted Bookcase

                               
I've this bookcase for a very long time, but he had such a boring color, brown. So I went to paint him. He is black now. And on both sides I can write. It was a long job, one day I also have painted with a girlfriend. He stands very nicely in my room. Now I need to decorating him!

And I can paint on it!

Kangaroo

I created this Kangaroo, and the baby, on birthday party when I was 10.
So I got him quite a while, but he is still very funny!

Perfume present

My mentor wanted for a long time this perfume. Only when her mother-in-law bought the same perfume, she found it much less fun. 

I found it pathetic, so I created this for her. (the pendant is handmade)

The tree of life

I have created this painting on the anniversary of my grandmother.
It was in autumn and the entire family was together.
And that inspired me to paint such a tree of life.

Creative candles stands

There is more and more recyceling, what I find very nice!
So I thought I go also try to be good for the environment. I found an old tin and I cut it in pieces. And voila, there was it. I find him very funny!

If you are tired after school or work, if you've had a fight or a misunderstanding or if it just completely had an unlucky today... Then you can take one of these perk-up-notes. I made little papers ​​for sad AND for happy people! You can tear a piece of the paper away. Put that piece in your pocket, in your agenda or whatever, and it will make you happy :)

Bracelet of Nuts

There are many different types of beads. With many different shapes and colors. But I had enough used the beads, I wanted something unique! This is a bracelet of small nuts. It was very simple to stringing them out, because the opening is very large. It was a nice job, and I'm very happy with the result!
